DISTRACTION
The distracion magazine captures the zeitgeist of digital media. Here, you jump from one topic to the next, with everything screaming, “Look at me, I’m so interesting!” Digital links, along with classic chains of mental associations, make distraction an everyday phenomenon. The topics in this edition were inspired by our designer’s own recent distraction journeys.
As most themes lead into each other in some way, visual transitions are created. Analog links allow readers to follow these chains of associations. Random flashes of inspiration are interspersed as abstract “glitch moments,” conveyed through varying fonts, colors, or similar effects.
"Salt and Sugar" is the motto for this issue's journey through distraction. That’s how it felt for our designer—a journey that was both inspiring and energizing, giving her new perspectives for the future. Yet her excitement rarely let her rest, leaving her feeling overstimulated. At times, it was simply too much salt and sugar.
